This hand sculpted pendant is inspired by ancient polynesian Petroglyphs - images carved in stone by Polynesian people thousands of years ago and only found, very rarely, dotted along the most remote beaches of the most remote islands of Tonga. The pendant has stone texture on the front and is smoothly polished on the back. The symbolic gecko motif is carved right through. Geckos and lizards are native to Tonga and are considered to be mischievous creatures. You are considered fearless if you can hold a gecko or "moko" as it's called in Tonga.
